A WordPress/WooCommerce store for bakery goods, serving both wholesale and retail. We migrated it to our own server, gave it a new look with a custom-built homepage, rebuilt its caching stack from scratch, upgraded WooCommerce by two major versions and rewrote its legal pages. A store that responds instantly and stands on solid legal ground.
Measurable results
Measured before and after the speed-optimisation phase, on the same build with the same method (Lighthouse, simulated 4G, lab). The old store on its previous server was never measured, so we do not present it as the baseline.

What we did
Results
- 01Migrated from shared LiteSpeed hosting to our own server (nginx + PHP 8.3 + Redis) — with no loss of traffic
- 02A new hand-coded homepage, pulling real products and categories from WooCommerce
- 03Rebuilt the caching stack from scratch on nginx — with no added licence cost
- 04Upgraded WooCommerce 8.8.6 → 10.9.1 (32 database migrations), with checkout verified end to end
- 05Rewrote 6 legal pages against Greek law 2251/1994 and Directive 2011/83 (14-day withdrawal, ODR)
- 06Security cleanup: removed an abandoned second WordPress install and a database password stored in plain text
Our e-shop had piled up plugins and felt heavy — it loaded slowly and we were worried about security. DOT slimmed it down, sped it up and hardened it, without losing any functionality. Plain talk at every step, and everything was done within the time we agreed.
