All work / Case study
n-ergeia
A corporate website for an engineering & construction firm with a serious B2B clientele. The work came in three phases: first we rescued a broken site by removing vulnerable plugins, then we migrated it to our own server, and finally we redesigned it from scratch in hand-written code — no page builder. A site that lives up to the projects behind it.
Measurable results
The “before” is the site as it stood immediately prior to the redesign — that is, after the security rescue we performed in May, still on the client’s old design. The original site was never measured before we took it on.
What we did
Results
- 01Rescue: the client had disabled vulnerable plugins for safety and it broke 10 pages — we rebuilt and restored them in under 48 hours
- 02Redesigned on our own custom theme, with hand-written templates — no page builder
- 03Removed 512 fake sign-ups left by an open registration form (514 users → 2)
- 04Migrated to our own server on PHP 8.3 — the old one ran PHP 8.1, which no longer receives security updates
- 05Hardening: xmlrpc closed, author enumeration blocked, the public user list disabled
- 06Company email moved off a gmail address onto their own domain
Our corporate site had vulnerable plugins and no longer represented a firm with a serious B2B clientele. DOT rebuilt it on a stable, secure foundation and hardened it from the ground up. Methodical work, no surprises, delivered on time — now we know our site is as dependable as our work.
